COVID-19 Update and Letter From The Practice
Our Offices Are Now Open
As we monitor the COVID-19 situation, we have updated our preventative measures to protect patients and staff.
View the: Enhanced Patient Protection Plan or call the office at (847) 251-5004 for more information.
Hope everyone is staying healthy and not been overly stressed with all the challenges we have
all had over the last two months. Fortunately none of us or our families have had their health
directly effected by COVID - 19. For those of you that have had any deaths or sickness in your
family and friends we empathize with your pain or loss. For those of you that have had your
livelihood and business effected and felt the humiliation and frustration of being told the hard
work you have done to further your career and support yourself and your family is considered
an extremely insulting term “non essential” we understand your frustration. What we are going
through is not the “new normal” it is what we have to endure for now but we are all starting the
road back to normalcy that we all crave.
We are considered essential healthcare business so we have been open and have seen many
of you. We were only open to see patients with pain, infection, swelling and trauma. Under
guidance from the Illinois Department of Public Health we are now clear to resume a full range
of dental services. We will highlight temporary changes on the included overview page. We will
have a backlog of patients for awhile so if you were one of the hundreds of our guests who had
their appointments cancelled with no future appointment made we will be contacting you.
I realize more than ever that all of us at the office miss everyone dearly and it has been difficult
not using the talents we have been given to serve you. I just turned 50 and now I definitely
realize I am nowhere near retirement and not close to being ready. For now dropping into our
office to talk, read magazines, grabbing a cup of coffee is not possible. Hugs and handshakes
are gone for now too but we will not live in a dehumanized society void of human touch forever.
Since we are a small boutique dental office we are uniquely qualified to thrive during the
shadow of COVID - 19. We are not a clinic so we do not see multiple patients at once and we
have private enclosed treatment rooms. As a dentist I have always practiced under universal
precautions so the steps we have always had the proper protocol in place but we are
enhancing and taken further precautions above and beyond what the Center for Disease
Control recommends. Your safety and our dedicated staff’s safety is and always will be our top
priority.
It is understandable if some of you still have concerns or health issues that cause you concern.
Feel free to ask any questions about our cleanliness and enhanced infection control protocols.
Common sense guideline have always been in place such as if you are sick or with a fever do
not come to the office. I cannot think of another step we can take to ensure your safety and the
staff’s safety and to reduce the chance of transmission of COVID - 19. Your health and safety is
of utmost concern and is in excellent hands. No one at our office would have it any other way.
Just as with previous financial crises some of you may have had your business decimated or
income negatively effected. As our valued guests please do not hesitate or be embarrassed to
seek treatment or receive care. Please discuss that with us. We will take care of you! It is an
honor to take care of everyone and look forward to seeing everyone back at the office.
Stay healthy!
