COVID-19 Update and Letter From The Practice

Our Offices Are Now Open

As we monitor the COVID-19 situation, we have updated our preventative measures to protect patients and staff.

View the: Enhanced Patient Protection Plan or call the office at (847) 251-5004  for more information.

Hope everyone is staying healthy and not been overly stressed with all the challenges we have all had over the last two months. Fortunately none of us or our families have had their health directly effected by COVID - 19. For those of you that have had any deaths or sickness in your family and friends we empathize with your pain or loss. For those of you that have had your livelihood and business effected and felt the humiliation and frustration of being told the hard work you have done to further your career and support yourself and your family is considered an extremely insulting term “non essential” we understand your frustration. What we are going through is not the “new normal” it is what we have to endure for now but we are all starting the road back to normalcy that we all crave.

We are considered essential healthcare business so we have been open and have seen many of you. We were only open to see patients with pain, infection, swelling and trauma. Under guidance from the Illinois Department of Public Health we are now clear to resume a full range of dental services. We will highlight temporary changes on the included overview page. We will have a backlog of patients for awhile so if you were one of the hundreds of our guests who had their appointments cancelled with no future appointment made we will be contacting you.

I realize more than ever that all of us at the office miss everyone dearly and it has been difficult not using the talents we have been given to serve you. I just turned 50 and now I definitely realize I am nowhere near retirement and not close to being ready. For now dropping into our office to talk, read magazines, grabbing a cup of coffee is not possible. Hugs and handshakes are gone for now too but we will not live in a dehumanized society void of human touch forever.

Since we are a small boutique dental office we are uniquely qualified to thrive during the shadow of COVID - 19. We are not a clinic so we do not see multiple patients at once and we have private enclosed treatment rooms. As a dentist I have always practiced under universal precautions so the steps we have always had the proper protocol in place but we are enhancing and taken further precautions above and beyond what the Center for Disease Control recommends. Your safety and our dedicated staff’s safety is and always will be our top priority.

It is understandable if some of you still have concerns or health issues that cause you concern. Feel free to ask any questions about our cleanliness and enhanced infection control protocols. Common sense guideline have always been in place such as if you are sick or with a fever do not come to the office. I cannot think of another step we can take to ensure your safety and the staff’s safety and to reduce the chance of transmission of COVID - 19. Your health and safety is of utmost concern and is in excellent hands. No one at our office would have it any other way. Just as with previous financial crises some of you may have had your business decimated or income negatively effected. As our valued guests please do not hesitate or be embarrassed to seek treatment or receive care. Please discuss that with us. We will take care of you! It is an honor to take care of everyone and look forward to seeing everyone back at the office. Stay healthy!

Our Featured Cosmetic Dentistry Services

Inman Aligner™

The Inman Aligner is a custom-made removable dental appliance designed to correct crowding or protrusion of the front teeth. This aligner can give you a straighter smile in just six to 18 weeks depending on your degree of dental misalignment. Dr. Carpenter is the only dentist certified to provide this hassle-free cosmetic treatment in Kenilworth, IL, and the entire North Shore. If you have more complex misalignment issues, he can refer you to a trusted local orthodontist.

Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are thin porcelain shells that are bonded to the front surfaces of individual teeth to mask a variety of cosmetic imperfections, including chips, cracks, deep stains, and minor misalignment. Our dentist prefers porcelain for its incredibly lifelike qualities. Because dental porcelain is semi-translucent, it mimics the light-reflective properties of natural teeth and blends in beautifully with the rest of your smile. We offer traditional and minimal-prep veneers.

Teeth Whitening

Having your teeth professionally whitened is one of the simplest ways to improve the appearance of your smile. We use the newest version of the Philips ZOOM!® whitening system, which eliminates stains without the use of heat or harmful chemicals. We can help you brighten your smile by several shades in just one hour-long appointment at our practice. Our at-home kits can provide the same amazing results over the course of a few weeks.

Gum Contouring

When your gums are smooth, even, and symmetrical, they provide a frame that complements your teeth. Excess tissue can detract from the beauty of your smile. By removing and reshaping gum tissue, we can help you achieve a more aesthetically pleasing gumline. We use modern dental lasers for gum contouring, resulting in minimal discomfort and a speedier recovery compared to traditional methods.

Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is a cost-effective alternative to veneers that still offers gorgeous results. This technique can be used to repair chips, minimize gaps, and alter the shape and shade of a tooth. Dr. Carpenter will skillfully apply tooth-colored composite resin to achieve the desired result, then buff it to blend seamlessly with the tooth. Bonding is a quick and easy way to address small imperfections in your smile.

Dental Crowns

A dental crown can be used to repair a damaged tooth or improve its color, size, and shape. Our crowns are crafted from either lithium disilicate or zirconia, two materials favored for their strength and appearance. We partner with Dental Arts Laboratories in Lincolnshire, IL, where your crown will be color-matched to your smile and hand-finished by an expert dental ceramist. When expertly planned and placed by Dr. Carpenter, dental crowns are indistinguishable from natural teeth in terms of look and feel.

Dental Implants

Implant dentistry offers the ultimate solution for tooth loss. A dental implant replaces missing tooth roots and supports a natural-looking replacement tooth. We offer treatments for every degree of tooth loss, including dental implant-supported crowns, bridges, and full-arch dentures. Dr. Carpenter meticulously plans every step of the implant process and uses computer-aided surgical guides for the most precise implant placement and successful outcomes.
